1) There is no charge for our preliminary site visit to your property. At the close of this meeting you may receive, depending on site complexity, a rough verbal idea and approximate price range for the proposed scope of work. We will also provide you with a Design Proposal.
2) Upon your acceptance of our Design Proposal, we will draw an original plan, illustrating all proposed hardscape and landscape features. It will be necessary for the client to furnish an accurate survey of the property upon which to base the plan. The location of utility lines, septic systems, underground wiring, etc. should be indicated on this survey.
3) As a design concept, this plan is not intended to represent engineering drawings and specifications. If permits or engineering drawings are deemed necessary, it is the client’s responsibility to obtain them. This plan is to be used only for plant material layout and conceptual hardscape layout. Final plant material locations may vary from the plan based on site conditions.
4) The design fee is payable in advance and should accompany the signed proposal. The design fee/deposit shall be credited against the cost of construction should the client choose to proceed with the work.
5) Most design projects consist of anywhere from two to four revisions . Timeframe for this process is generally three to five weeks. At the discretion of the landscape architect, there may be an hourly charge for revisions in excess of this amount.
6) Final revised plans and written specifications shall be submitted to the client with a quote to install the work using “Rock Paper Garden, LLC” as installer with myself performing layout & supervision. If the client accepts this quote, “Rock Paper Garden, LLC” will deduct a portion or all of this Design Deposit from the final installation contract payment.
7) If the hardscape portion of the installed work results in a Capitol Improvement to the property, it will not be taxable.
